All The King’s Men
Watched All The King’s Men last night with mixed reviews. I didn’t know anything about this story and thought perhaps it might be true. Turns out it is loosely based on the times of the former Louisiana governor Huey Long. The movie is primarily about political corruption and how one uses it to rise to power and stay in power. Sean Penn proves once again how great of an actor he is, while James Galdolfinni’s character is a joke. His accent is somewhere between the Bronx and the Bayou and just doesn’t work. It’s a good story though and a decent movie. I think anything with Sean Penn is worth it…he does a great job!
