So, you can’t just use the old DVD player for an HD TV – you have to get an Upconvert player, or a BlueRay player, or a HDDVD player to expect the same video clarity your TV is using.  I opted for the cheaper Upconvert player is my TV is only 720p as opposed to the latest 1080p for which the more expensive units are used.  Of course you have to buy a new HDMI cable to go along with it as standard RCA or s-video cables won’t carry the video you want.  Nice gig they have going!

Oh, and I need some new RG6 cables with F to B connectors to carry audio from the cable box to the TV – apparently some of the crimps in mine are bad.
