Six Mile Grove and Bob Wooten
We went to the Six Mile Grove and Bob Wootten show this past Saturday at the Mantorville Opera House – what a great time! For those who haven’t seen Six Mile Grove they are an alt-country band from Lyle, MN, and fantastic! They play all of their own stuff and have been around for over 10 years if you can believe that…starting when they were very young. A few yeras back they met Bob Wooten who was a guitar player with Johnny Cash for 30 years and became friends. This little mini tour involves 4 shows where Six Mile Grove is backing Bob Wooten who is doing all Johnny Cash tunes and doing them well! The instant he struck a chord you could tell he was the one behind the sound for Cash and his band. Ironically, he kind of looks like Cash and sings in a very deep voice as well. If you have the chance to see these guys definitely do – they are fun band to see!
